This is not an opinion on Goan elected officials but on the fundamental issues
of how democracy works. Does not the following post reflect the flaws in Goan
mind set regarding elections, democracy and concept of a Republic?

Representatives are PRECISELY elected for "deciding major issues by themselves"
on behalf of the electorate / people. These intelligent people who are elected
HAVE TO decide and strike a balance between what the people NEED and what they
WANT for the present and the future.

Part of leadership is to make unpopular decisions that are good of the larger
society.

Kind Regards, GL

Politics and Mass can't MIX, says CSJP Chief, Fr. Marverick Fernandes.

Past Five years have proved the failure.
Poeple representatives have violated the trust of the people by deciding major
issues by themselves.
