I have fond memories of meeting Dr. Jose Colaco personally in Toronto twice; once , when he visited my stall at Viva Goa supporting Goa's literature and culture; and the other time when he invited some of our Toronto Goanetters at his Hotel on Bay Street, where we all had a great time discussing things Goan of course. Later that evening we all went for dinner at an Indian Restaurant. And so it came as a great shock for me to learn from my brother in Goa of Dr. Jose Colaco's sudden death. Dr. Jose Colaco was a Niz Goemkar and he was very knowledgeable about Goa in all its facets and will always be remembered for his true links with Goa as seen from the treasure trove of his website.
