After being MLA of Panaji for over two decades, Manohar Parrikar is still
in the dark on the problems faced by the city. Manohar Parrikar should hang
his head in shame and take a dip in the St Inez Creek.

Instead of moving Forward Goa is currently enveloped in utter political
anarchy and administrative chaos. To attain his ulterior motives, the
crafty and devious Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai is
going to concertize what remains of Goa by appointing three Chief Town
Planners which is a step in the wrong direction.

We need less Government and better Governance. A very small State like Goa
does not need a Zilla Parishad. This unnecessary extra layer should be
scrapped and instead more powers should be vested with the Panchayats. And
Goa could be well governed with just 30 MLAs and a cabinet of five instead
of the current 40 MLAs and a jumbo cabinet which is only needlessly
burdening the tax payer.

Goem, Goenkar and Goenkarponn will only remain a dream, while Fot, Foting
and Fotingponn is the current government’s order of the day.
