Sanvordem-curchorem violence if would have taken place during BJP's tenure then god knows how much agitations or cry would have taken place in the name of communalism....but even such things happening during congress govt time BJP is targetted. why? Was congress so tied up with their progress works or dint they had enough proofs n evidences to put the culprits behind bars? an year(365+days) passed for that incident and they couldn't do so? How can we expect them to do the needful in coming yrs. are they capable of stopping such communal violence, if NOT, why are they crying now and then in the name of communalism.? Secondly about VCD, it depicted only facts that took place during portuguese regime, which is neither put in any History text books by previous Govt(congress) to ensure that they get minority votebanks. The VCD did highlight some facts, which will ignite some fire into the hearts of minorities in Goa. but fact is fact. Question to be asked is, is it not the TRUTH? & Parrikar dint direct it nor produced it. Nextly I am not merely parroting with Savarkar or Golwalkars words, Even Shivaji had the same thinking, so will you call him communal too? who fought against Aurangzeb and other mughal who came to India with lone aim to conquer n loot India.& he did everything he can to save India from their violence, but never killed innocent muslims or what you call minorities. I am not here to defend BJP or shout against congress, but what is to be seen is the last 5yrs of Govt, which was served by both the parties equally and then cast our votes. However loud you may shout about communalism or secularism, only 2 choices remain, BJP & Congress, rest parties are just tail enders who have no big roll to play in the 40 member Goa's Squad, besides increasing the tally of the party who's forming the Govt. So I think SGF, MGP, UGDP, IND will just be dancing on either side and settledown to one who serves them better. Beside BJP n congress, no other party has contested 21+ seats which shows they wont be forming govt by themselves but will dance to either party's tunes.. Question for common electorate will be to cast vote for Communal(as you say-BJP which provided speedy governance n doesnt have any corruption case on any of their candidate-just charges laid against Parrikar on IFFI2004 that too at the time of elections after a time lag of 2 and half years ) or congress (lots of work done, by putting 50+ foundation stones, but no CM candidate yet decided, might be even monster rat or SGF supremo, who knows, not to forget Regional Plan may still woke up) Lets see what comes out on june 5th. ------------------------------------------------------- Goanet recommends, and is proud to be associated with, 'Domnic's Goa' - A nostalgic romp through a bygone era.
