World Goa Day today, but some diaspora assocuations are gaving it on different days, one in Oct. The GOA Toronto used to have a picnic with some fun and games some years ago. Today ur is participating in India Day celebrations of I-Day in diwntown. Really, what does WGD signify?? some years ago, a contriversy broke out as to who first started WGD. I think the Kuwait goans said they did it first. then Rene Barretto of UK started it on a global note. Rene also started a global goan alliance but it sort of died after a couple of years. Like to know more about it.
