This article written by the journalist Reena Martins examines the Christmas
traditions of Bombay Goans and presents some fascinating insights for the
cultural anthropologist. For instance, in the 50s and 60s, very few Goans owned
ovens in Bombay and so cake batters and pork roasts which required ovens where
carted off early morning to nearby bakeries.
Also a delightful read taking us to into the Christmas season.
