So far the numbers are pathetic and yet we Goans have a big mouths to complain and when it comes to the crunch we are what the saying goes "Tail that goes behind two legs" It is clear that many Goans are showing that we are nothing but smoke and mirrors. Goans who have settled overseas have no reason to be reluctant to put their names on the petition, failing which we need to cease calling ourselves as Goans and replace the word for something else. The purpose of the drive is to reverse the wrongs with right towards Goa even though we are waking up after 57 years of "Amcho gao, amcher phont" I call upon Mr Rene Barretto who has been one of the trumpeters of everything Goan and is the founder of World Goa Day and promotes Goan food etc and it would be good for Rene to take the lead and obtain support from those who he is supporting in propaganda of Proud to be a Goan something that is fading away and will have to be substituted to Proud to be a Goan Ghanties. Rene, please put your thinking cap on and get all Goans, their families and friends in UK and everywhere overseas to read the petition and do the necessary. I would like to take a rough guess that Goans who were brought up in Africa are more inclined towards their belief that Goa was liberated is more of a fallacy and lack of knowledge or never lived in Goa before.
