In Public Interest I will be challenging before the Bombay High Court at Goa the blatantly illegal, arbitrary and very high-handed decision of the Goa Government to appoint Additional Solicitor General of India Atmaram Nadkarni to appear for the State Government on a monthly retainership of Rs 7.5 lakhs and Rs 3 lakhs per hearing with four free flights a month to Goa.
As Additional Solicitor General Atmaram Nadkarni is currently paid by the Central government Rs 50,000 as Retainership and Rs 24,000 per hearing. A very devious way by a cash- strapped Goa Government of pompously extending Atmaram Nadkarni through the backdoor the role and benefits of Advocate General for whom its now have cake and eat it too.
