This is a post I was wanting to write for quite some time in the current news cycle. Some may recollect that we had some lively, scholarly and emotional articles on Goanet on the perfect acceptance of consensual sex; even by a married person - albeit the practice is condemned by the religious authorities and proscribed by current morality standards. The response of the proponents of consensual sex was; "Whose religion and whose morality"? No names please! After a few titillating posts from mostly post-menopausal Goan men for whom the topic of interest was more in their minds than below their belt, I responded on this subject, "lest some Goan combo falls for these 'petulant' thoughts and ideas." I made more than a dozen points about the perils of consensual sex. Unfortunately for the brave and intelligent participants, my post ended the thread. In my response, I pointed out there was no such things as consensual sex: with minors, with students by teachers, with patients by doctors, with clients by lawyers, with parishioners by priests, with prison inmates by prison guards; with employees by employers; etc. etc. I pointed to the TV series in America called "To Catch a Predator" which was mostly filmed in California where the entrapped persons were mostly Indian techies. When caught / trapped, their excuse was like this Goan guy; something like - "I was trying to rescue these underage girls; and I really did not and had no intention of doing anything wrong (prior to being caught)" ; while their documented e-mails tell a different story. In the current news cycle in America, many many girls are coming forwards naming famous names (at-least a dozen) of past 'predators' who engaged in consensual sex. The foremost and best known name being Donald Trump, the president of USA. I had pointed-out that partners in consensual sex claiming, "to have been at the time under the influence of alcohol or other drug"; or just changed their mind in what is termed, "Monday Morning Regret". "Hair Grooming" a perfectly legitimate and widespread practice in Asia (including Goa) is very much frowned on in the West and is considered predatory behavior. Don't even mention the thought, unless one is a hair dresser!!! This is just a revision class on this current topic of interest.:=)) Regards, GL
