EASE OF LIVING What is glaring is that all the BJP spokespersons and of course politicians are raving about an excellent budget, so also all the corporates and organizations that need to be on the good side of the ruling dispensation, whilst all the Opposition party and spokespersons condemn everything! What I experience is havIing to struggle for the bread on my table which is getting smaller and more unaffordable day by day, and increasing difficulty of living! Studying the budget on paper in facts and figures, helped by dscussions in the media by experts, it is clear to me that this is mostly an election budget and as usual what the government gives with one hand it takes away from the other. This letter is limited in space to give the many glaring examples. However the cartoon showing the budget 2018-19 being carried on the shoulders of Rural, Health, Education and Corporate shoulders says it all! The budget ignores immediate relief in controlling inflation, promoting export, important job creation, relief against falling interest rates, world wide phenomena like rising fuel prices. The government fails in justifying and explainning its maths and where is the money coming from to service the grandoise plans, especially the best in the world Modi Health Care. The many cesses and additional burden on the honest tax payer, salaried middle class, unemployed youth whilst service conditions and salaries of MPs and some government employees are being unconsciencously and arbitrarily hiked to comparatively astronomical levels is shocking! The income disparituies between the rich and poor will widen further.
