If the aim as the AIBEA (All India Banking Employees Association) thinks, is to undermine public confidence with the goal of privatizing public banks, then the country is due for another round of massive and long grand theft of public resources that will put this PNB scandal in the shade. One noble objective of public service which is to serve the public, is singularly lacking in both the Congress and BJP parties. All they are concerned with is to mop up as much money for the party and for themselves while in power in order to fight the next elections and continue to make more money in the future. Any wonder that someone entering politics without two red nickels to rub, find themselves worth crores of rupees (millions of dollars) before they get the boot. Democracy such as it is, becomes the victim of this sordid mess, along with the welfare of citizens. What a far cry from how the Maharajas treated their subjects.
