The Viva Goa flyer was received in the mail, featuring Lorna as the star
entertainer. Obviously, Lorna is a big draw. But hasn't she been on stage in
Toronto for many times? I wish the GOA had brought a rising star to give the
singer exposure in the Goan diaspora in Toronto. Making big money should not be
the sole factor for GOA, but giving Goa's talented singers a platform in
Toronto. Getting sonia Sirsa was a good move. The next year saw Palomi, who
played Lorna on the Big screen in Nach Kumpasar, and Palomi belted out some
Lorna classics.
I heard some new singers on video on FB. besides, a good singer like Nephie
Rod, who made headlines a few years ago and still commands lot of fans, has not
fome to Toronto.
Just got CD Of Omor Mogachi Kanni, where Tatum (Babli) pays rtribute to her
late parents, Ophelia, popularly called the Queen of Tragedy, and Bab Peter. A
good voice that Toronto Goans would have loved to listen. I believe the CD has
been doing well in the highly-competative music market in Goa.
Below is my FB post (with photo of Viva Goa flyer):

It was announced earlier that the the GOA will give her a "LIFETIME
ACHIEVEMENT AWARD". I had remarked on FB who is GOA to confer on Lorna such an
award. There are appropriate bodies in Goa who should do so. The flyer says
"Legends of Goa", and I wish to know which other legend will be on stage.
