Mr. Damodar Naik, the MLA of Fatorda more often called Damu, has been
designated as the SPOKESMAN of the BJP legislature party. He replaces the
irresistable Mr. Manohar Parrikar with immediate effect.
After the BJP failed to get athe 24 seats it was sure of , nor even the 20
seats [with or without dear Matanhy Saldanha and/or Nirmala Sawant] to form the
Government and unable to cobble a majority by roping in the NCP [because this
party is in alliance with the Congress in Delhi and in Maharashtra], Parrikar
has run out of words. The confusion is confounded by his 'Numbro Duas' turned
bete noire, Digamber Kamat, becoming the Chief Minister of Goa...a post that he
so coveted.
So Damu Naik, who reportedly used to fit the connectors at the back of the TV
sets to let the residents of Fatorda and Borda watch cable news and programmes
will now actually appear on thses very programmes...on the screen....as the new
avatar of the BJP narad!! He is a man of few words. The BJP does not have much
to say, anyway.
