LET'S ADMIT THE TRUTH If we keep denying truth with hype, how can we correct the wrongs? It is reported that India has 14 of the worst polluted cities in the world! In China, pollution is rapidly decreasing whilst our pristine white marble Taj Mahal is turning green/brown due increasing pollution, and people in Delhi are getting lung and allied diseases! The Prime Minister, BJP star campaigner together with Amit Shah is pronouncing on the Madhei river dispute to win votes! When States are involved in a dispute, the PM of India ( not only of BJP) is expected to stay strictly neutral? I just witnessed an interview with a live BJP worker who their campaign claimed to have been martyred by the opposition! As far as the JNU violence is concerned, the evil that Jinnah did will live after him, any good buried with his ghost? Hate will percolate into history to be re written? Like in the Parliament, even in Universities, there is no room for civilised debate!The Supreme Court seems to be under relentless attack by the executive and also at war within itself. The decision to hand over heritage monuments has reportedly been taken unilaterally without consulting the stake holders, the States or ASI. The Supreme Court has once again ruled that politicians cannot skirt the Constitution basic doctrine of equality and also all privileges, rights and benefits of holders of public office must be reasonable, rational and proportionate and those in public office must act bearing in mind that they are accountable to the citizen whom they serve!Once they demit office, they cannot stay in government bungalows.This clearly means the colonial vestiges of VIP status is redundant and must be abolished if citizens are to have any self tespect! It looks like CSR will have to mean Citizen Social Responsibility, if democracy, rule of law and ethics are to survive?
