With regard to the swamp that the Indian judiciary finds itself, if what Aires 
Rodrigues says is true and having read about it over the years I have little 
doubt it is, then with the last bastion of democracy - the judiciary - 
teetering over the brink, an ill wind blows over India that bodes no good.

More than a decade ago I recall the headlines of a retired Supreme Court judge 
making a public statement to the effect that fully 40% of all judges in India 
were corrupt.

With corruption steadily progressing since then, one can only imagine the 
number now.
