Well dramatised, Roland.
Canada should be commended for having the guts to censure the savage Saudis.
The rest of the western world only see Saudis as cash machines for buying their military equipment. The Arabs, given their wealth, could have ruled the world and established an equitable world order. But they have long suffered from a chronic intellectual inferiority & bankruptcy of ideas and have preferred to squander their riches on the West in return for support of their despotic regimes. The Saudis play safe by allying with with the two great monsters: Trump & Netanyahu. And Prince MB Salman gets his kicks by destroying an Arab neighbour: helpless little Yemen.

Could India's great Modi match Trudeau's gesture?
Hardly, Modi's friends are precisely Saudi's: Trump & Netanyahu.

Subject: [Goanet] Boxing Match Canada v Saudi Arabia

First Round
Canada tweets its support for jailed Saudi activists and asks SA to respect human rights.

Round Two
SA is enraged. Lashes out with both hands. Stops flights, grain, arms and aircraft imports. Asks money managers to divest all Canadian assets in Saudi portfolios. Orders 15,000 students in Canada paying $30K-80K annual fees to relocate.

Interval
Blood flowing from Canada’s brow. Saudi thinks Canada is bloodied but a towel-wipe clears vision.

Round Three
Canada says it will not be stopped from standing up for rights. But discreetly asks referees UK and UAE to intervene. USA, the long professed ‘cousins’ of Canada says they will not interfere (not known whether they were asked).

Lull In The Audience.
To be seen whether manager baby-face Justin will allow his boxer Iron Lady and trade minister Chrystia Freeland to stand the human rights ground she so stoutly defended.

My bets are on the Iron Lady. She told off Teenager Trump during NAFTA negotiations so bully-boy Mohamed Bin Salman should not be a big problem to her if baby-face backs her up.

Roland.
