King of the Week Futsal Tournament, organised by M7FC at Don Bosco

M7FC and KFC Cortalim enter quarters
M7FC smash 4 past Warriors; KFC Cortalim scored a commanding 3-0 win
over Gridiron
PANJIM: M7FC and KFC Cortalim entered the quarter-finals of the
M7-Spartacus King of the Week Futsal Tournament, organised by M7FC at
Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim on Friday.
While M7FC made light work of Warriors, KFC Cortalim scored three past
Gridiron.
Following their unbeaten run in the group phase, M7FC got off to a great
start in the R16 clash against Warriors. M7 FC dominated the match from
the word go with their pact runs and quick passing and shoot into the
lead in the 3rd minute as Micheal scored the first in style with a
sublime right footer.
Hardly had the joys settled down and Beneston scored the second with a
unexpected long range effort which took the rival team by surprise, 2-0.
The winners led 2-0 at the break.
Changing ends, M7FC continued from where they had left and dictated
terms and scored the third through Leo in the 17th minute.
Warriors weren't at their best as they just couldn't showcase and carry
on with their group stage performance. Craig scored the fourth in just
before the final whistle.
In the day’s second match, tournament favourites suffered a shocking 0-3
defeat against KFC Cortalim. Austin opened the scoring for Cortalim in
the 6th minute before Schubert doubled the lead in the 10th minute. KFC
Cortalim led 2-0 at the break. Crossing over, Austin completed his brace
firing the third for his team.
