Just Desserts. Yes you read that right. A place just for desserts and with a massive board to proclaim it. There’s always room for desserts. That was a nice cozy place at the upscale The Mall I visited today with another Indian priest. Things were frightfully dear everywhere but Fr George took me straight to a counter on the 4th floor of the Mall where everything you pick is worth only 10 Thai Baht each. He could have bought the whole store as he prepares to travel to India to meet family and friends in a fortnight. It’s nice to think of others and also make time and space for matters that are important: work and rest, prayer and worship, and at times good shopping and just desserts.
