Hundreds of police personnel have been needlessly deployed from as early as
6 am this morning all along the route from Raj Bhavan at Dona Paula to the
Kala Academy at Campal where Vice –President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu
will be attending a function at 10 am. The Government should realize that
the police are not goats to be herded around needlessly. The message should
also be loud and clear that VIPs who disrupt the normal lives of Goans are
not welcome to Goa.
