Despite Goa over the last many years witnessing a steep rise in the number of cancer related cases, it is very disturbing and absolutely atrocious that the Goa Government has very high-handedly chosen to compromise people’s health on the dreadful Formalin issue.
In an attempt to hoodwink the public and wriggle out of the current crisis, our dubious Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has now announced that the Export Inspection Council (EIC) will henceforth monitor the formalin in fish being sold at the markets in Goa. The kingpin of the fish mafia in Goa Maulana Ibrahim is a member of that very EIC. Nothing more needs to be said.
