NO RESPECT FOR PUBLIC OPINION! It is apparent that Beti Padao Beti Bacho like Sub Ke Saath, Smart police (sensitive, mobile, accountable, responsible, techno savvy) etc are just attractive slogans like many others with scant respect for public opinion, if not in line with the philosophy of the ruling party where religious leaders and political power of one section and well organized party of the nation call the shots. This is obvious in the chalenging of the Sabrimala temple decision of the Supreme Court and the reaction to the accusations of many reputed women who do not belong to any political party against minister M.J.Akbar! The arrogance and very statement he has issued proves why the said women coul not have challenged him at that time! He has the government so far silently backing him as seen from the arguments of the RSS/BJP spokepersons in the TV debates.The film Institutes and prominent film stars have taken action suo motto against other allegations made by the "Me Too" victims boldly speaking out. Conditions decades back where men in positions of power ruled the roost and exploited women who dared not object to their inappropriate behavior have now changed dramatically all over the world. Action speaks louder than words and mere slogans and using the law as hitherto to shut up dissent with high priced lawyers to twist/hide the truth will no longer work. This is the age of internet and social media, and in a democracy public opinion will be ignored only at your peril! The truth cannot be hidden for long. It is difficult these days to fool all the people all the time.
