Stuff to please. I was intrigued to see this pleasing basket of fresh fruit
neatly packed and placed at the door of a Montfort brother here at the
University. Will surely please him when he sees it. It’s not often someone
comes with hampers like these and leaves them at your door. Reminds me of my
travel last week in a Kadamba bus from Goa. My companion on the aisle seat next
to me had placed like a hundred coconuts under his seat virtually blocking me
from getting smoothly to my window seat. “Coconuts”, he informed me in Konkani
and proceeded to guard them as if they were some fresh soft fruit. I petitioned
the bus conductor who forced him to place them in the luggage section. He
returned to berate me: “Happy?” I nodded yes. Pointing to himself he remarked:
“Not I” I let things rest at that point. Hope you get some fruity gifts today
and that your journeys or trips are pleasantly eventful.
