In a very draconian Act, yesterday afternoon on very extraneous pressure from a very Senior Goan Politician and his legal side-kick, I have been very high-handedly blocked and banned on WhatsApp.
A friend suggested that I should obtain another SIM card in somebody’s name and activate a fake WhatsApp ID. Anything that is illegal and unlawful, I shall not and will never do. There are so many other ways and avenues of communicating and sending across your message across the globe. So if that now ailing politician thinks that by banning me on WhatsApp he has managed to suppress my voice, the guy is living in a fool’s paradise. Over the years I have been very fortunate to have a multitude of friends and fans across the world. With the prayers and blessings of them all, I have and will always remain Goa’s very humble soldier in the task of serving the people with a dedicated commitment which I will carry on till my very last breath. Over the last four decades raising issues against the illegalities of successive governments has not been an easy task. Truth hurts but it is only truth that will always ultimately prevail. On the issues that I have raised over the years it has been the wrong doings of those in power regardless of which party has been ruling. We need to maintain the spirit and keep on fighting. Life is a very short voyage, a journey, the end of which we know not. So let’s keep up the fight. We owe it to Goa, or else posterity may never forgive us for having silently allowed our once beautiful State to just pass away. I shall always remain inspired and guided by those words of Lily Tomlin "The road to success is always under construction" It would be apt to remember the words of former Chief Justice of India Justice R.M. Lodha, who, on 10 December, 2017 speaking on Human Rights Day, stated “The violators of human rights are not accountable to society. There is laxity in police action. This question is shaking me everyday.” May the care, concern and compassion of every Goan wherever he or she is be always for Goa. We will all one day depart but our Goa must live.
