Creating lists of these kinds is not easy, and the information is also hard to come by. It could also reflect people who we ourselves (meaning, the list maintainer/s) know better. I'd think Geni.com has higher entry barriers too. Recently, I ran into the family of the late J. Clement Vaz, who did an amazing job (despite the occasional error that might have crept in, only to be expected in a job of this size) of compiling his book on "eminent Goans" in pre-internet days, sitting in libraries in Bombay.
