It is not surprising that the very notorious Anil Hoble is now desperately trying to be elected the President of Gomantak Bhandari Samaj, the elections for which are being held this Sunday.
With serious criminal cases pending against him, Anil Hoble is now well known for all the illegalities he has been blatantly involved in. Less said the better on that illegal Bar and Restaurant besides a liquor retail outlet that he has set up along the Ribandar- Panaji causeway. Worse still is the spurious and adulterated liquor he sells there putting people’s health in jeopardy. Not long ago he had to shell out the 20 lakh on the fine imposed on him by the National Green Tribunal for the environmental damage committed by him. Possibly on account of his expertise in corruption while he was heading the North Goa Zilla Parishad, Manohar Parrikar appointed him as the Goa BJP Vice-President and last year as the Chairman of OBC Corporation. It’s time to cleanse public life from such corrupt and dubious elements. Goa deserves people with integrity and uprightness at all levels.
