Goan FC ease past Vasco SC
Goan Football Club registered a fluent 3-0 win over Vasco Sports Club in the Goa Professional League, played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Sunday. All the three goals came in the second half of the play through Liston Colaco, Imran Khan and Lalawmpula. Goan FC are now leading at the top with 26 points from 10 games, while Vasco SC are on 10 points from eleven games. Goan FC started the match with young experienced Liston Colaco upfront with Kapil Hoble and Princeton Rebello in the midfield and the trio made up a great pair tormenting the Vasco SC players with their quick passing and fast pace game. The Goan FC side continued their rich form in the league as they dominated the play with possession play, however, they couldn't get the final act right, as they played a goalless first half draw. After much probing, Goan FC took the lead at the hour mark through Liston Colaco, who gave final touches to Lalawmpula’s cross. Once up by a goal, Goan FC doubled the lead in the 71st minute through Imran Khan, who on receiving the pass from the midfield, dribbled past couple of Vasco SC defenders and shot low in the nets, 2-0. Ten minutes later, Goan FC were there once again with their third and this time it was Lalawmpula to grab full point for Goan FC.
