OPEN LETTER FROM 83 FORMER BUREAUCRATS! Besides petitions from the citizens, this reported signed letter specifically condemns the Bulandshahr violence, police reluctance to arrest the Bajrang Dal and VHP kingpins named in the FIR, scapegoats responsible for alleged cow slaughter arrests made, whilst Chief minister calling the shooting of a police officer in the alleged instigated mob violence an accident/ conspiracy! They say the fundamental principles of constitutional ethics and governance in UP where cow protection has been used as a means of isolating and cornering the Muslim community is enforced by a Chief Minister high priest who flaunts his bigotry as a badge to enforce and protect majoritanism and religious supremacy, "mainstreaming hooliganism and thuggery"! They have stated the Yogi Adityanath governance is "perverted" and called for his resignation. They have also rightly questioned the silence of Prime Minister Modi on this incident . Yes, the PM cannot speak on every incident, but this perversion of justice and flouting of SOP by the police based on discrimination is no ordinary incidence and should be strongly condemned by all Indians, especially the police enforcers, who perforce must have the honor (spine?)to believe in the Constitution and the majesty of the law! This will of course be ridiculed like the intellegencia and awarded eminent citizens returning their awards and futile letters similarly written to a n arrogant government that knows best how to bring all of us "acche din"?
