If the Congress government a decade ago passed such a law and was indulging in snooping, how does that justify the BJP to do likewise? I may remind the government that Right To Privacy was not declared as a fundamental right then and this new contemplated Act with blanket powers under the guise of national security, just before elections, for obviously silencing oponents and critics, with only union home secretary approval, and in "emergency" cases, maybe taken postfacto after 3 days fools no one! Both Congress and BJP/RSS are ensuring flouting the Supreme Court ruling in the Sabrimala issue, and promoting mob violence, polarization and hate to win elections. We pray this Christmas season of love and peace, where Santa Clause overshadows Christ, will raise human beings to a little degree of true compassion for all fellow humans and bring some sanity in our nation as a whole!
