For Goa it is very alarming and so ever disturbing that even senior-most officers of the Goa Administration, including some Top Police Officers are having very intricate links with the booming land mafia, drug lobby and the Underworld, including the Casino Lords. All this conveniently with the tacit support of the Ministers in Power.
All that ill gotten wealth and assets acquired by these Officers directly or through Benami transactions should be probed by the Goa Lokayukta. Less said the better as to how with Manohar Parrikar’s blessings many IAS and IPS officers have managed to hang on to our land of Fun and Frolic very much beyond their stipulated tenure . Nothing more needs to be said on the so outrageous manner in which high ranking Police Officers have today ended up discreetly and deceitfully being Real Estate brokers. If the Police officers are themselves on such an unlawful Mission, who will uphold the Law and Order in a now already disorderly State. If the reported rumour that Goa’s DGP Dr Muktesh Chander is now hurriedly building up his clandestine retirement nest in Goa at Socorro near Porvorim is true, it merits a probe at the highest level. Mr. DGP its time you blow that Truthful Flute. Enough is Enough. Goa cannot be a paradise for all and sundry. We may now need a Sentinel to expose the misdeeds of the Goa Police. Will those so-called self-proclaimed soldiers of Goem, Goenkar and Goenkarpoon stand up and be counted?
