The now comatose Manohar Parrikar is so desperately and frantically
clinging to that Chief Minister’s Chair with only one last wish to be
assured a ‘Statue’.

Goa can no longer afford this current stalemate of collapse in Governance
due to a dysfunctional Chief Minister. We need to find a way out of this
current crisis so that a new Chief Minister takes over the reins of Goa.

Perhaps we could reach a consensus that all former Chief Ministers will be
also entitled to a Statue, as that would resolve Manohar Parrikar’s dream.

But with successive governments having concretised every inch of vacant
land possible, it would be extremely difficult for the authorities to find
any space to erect those statues of our former Chief Ministers. And Goa has
had one too many.
