The church provides guidelines for dissemination to the faithful There is
obligation to sensitise the congregation to protect our faith and culture
against dominant community
This approach is seen as personal protection in a secular country
Increasingly minorities are being threatened by various acts both legal and
illegal to deny legitimate rights guaranteed under constitution. In today's
time neither politicians or religious bodies enjoy the monopoly of political
wisdom
Faithful may hear not listen the convenient pulpit propaganda but are most
likely to make their own decision based on their own knowledge It is a fallacy
that faithful depend on church bodies and functionaries for their political
decisions
What is only relevant to propagate to avoid those that are enemically
Inclined to protection of group interests as per law available under
constitution
Unfortunately politicians are under illusion that priests have a strong hold
on the beliefs of faithful They shower personal and community benefits close
to elections to influence them it is a win win situation The expression of
public effusive gratitude is splashed giving impression of great service and
gift to the minority's wellbeing. It is an act of corrupt practice at the cost
of the exchequer to channelise selectively by denying some deserving situation
The emphasis and stress on donation is best the functionaries revel tastefully
and that wins the admiration and appreciation of politicians. Why do our
functionaries pressurise politicians close to elections is highly questionable
Politicians use personal resources and those of acquaintances obliged to them
to satisfy fancies of some to also earn respect from their faithful Politicians
always consider such favours as investment in next elections
Political overtones while preaching word of God is most reprehensible
Let them convene separate meetings to pass the message and then they will
realise that addressing a captive audience assembled for religious services is
a different ball game
Politics intertwined with gospel message is undesirable
It should be done outside the gospel preaching independently and separately
If the controversy is true that someone's death is the punishment and curse for
misdeeds during rule, it is highly condemnable
Preachers of eminence appear hollow when they conclude such an inference.
Death , illness is inevitable end to all good or bad on earth and cannot be
differentiated as reward or punishment curse or blessing
Such fanatics with ulterior motives are disowned by the faithful with the
contempt it deserves
Certainly pulpit in Catholic Church must be restricted to the sacred word of
God
All announcements ,political messages after Eucharistic celebrations for those
interested and willing voluntarily
Is a change awaiting reform and action Using captive audience forcing such
views are reprehensible
Such directions must be read as people are mature enough to grasp
