I began sharing my ongoing work two years back through presentations and talks. I have presented my essays so far at : Fundacao Oriente, Goa (Sept, 2017) Ines Figueira My Story of Space Festival (Nov, 2017) Jaya Ramchandani Serendipity Art Festival (Dec, 2017-18) Vivek Menezes Lastly Conor Macklin invited me to share my work at his ongoing exhibition *Souza in the 40s at *Sunaparanta Gallery (March, 2019) Another project run and edited by Kevin I Slaughter and Trevor Blake https://www.unionofegoists.com/ has shown a keen interest in my ongoing work. That Souza’s art contains the greatest social possibility is yet to be understood. An interdisciplinary lens on Souza's work opens portals to alternative perspectives, generating new dialogue on his art legacy. FN Souza was definitely an outlier. Shaking pedestals of propriety, he rebelled and raged to render radical art. Despite his innovative disposition, the priggish Indian sensibility disregarded him with Pecksniffian relish for his sexually overt portraiture, and racism and western supremacy pigeonholed him abroad. That this art legacy at par with Bacon and Picasso is still to find its place in the world art canon, propels his scholars and critics to work towards that goal. I felt that there had not been enough critical study on his art practice. My essays, based on multidisciplinary readings are an attempt in this direction.I bring my strength of an open mind, *interdisciplinary research* and a totally fresh look at Souza's art and mind. It's work in progress and I plan to write 15-20 essays in all. I am open to critical comment and further collaborations on the artist FN Souza.
