The verbatim quote that you have reproduced below and the video
footage on the CNN-IBN programme to which you have also provided the
link tally. I have no dispute on that.
Having said that, "everything in it is historically TRUE" and the
"absolute TRUTH" are not one and the same thing, as you seem to imply.
Remo is obviously trying to do a tight rope walk between the stands
of Parrikar and Dr.Oscar Rebello...the two persons between whom he was
seated for the interview.
Remo has been a part of the BJP advertisement campaign for Goa Assembly
elections in 2002. I helped do some of them myself. He was also a
part of the Goa Bachao Abhiyan's FIRST public rally on 18 December
2006 against the Regional Plan 2011. Remo, of course, would not like
to be seen as against the Catholic Church establishment when his
support base is the Goan music listeners , many of them catholics.
That would be bad for the PR and the business.
Coming back to the VCD, I doubt Remo had the time to read history
books if he had seen the VCD [perhaps given by Parrikar himself] ONLY
"YESTERDAY" on the day of the live debate. Poor Remo. He needs to read
his history afresh. It has been a long time since he left school.
Perhaps, he thought Patrrikar would win. erhaps, not. So the opening
and closing sentences in the quote play to the galleries. He deserves
a Padma Bhushan for that ...if not a Swarna Kamal. A LOTUS , in either
case.
I wonder what "Play" Remo had done in 1976. I was very much in Goa
then...except for one week in Delhi to receive a President's Medal
from Shri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed, the then President of India. Unless, he
and his friends wrote a play...and did not publish or make a stage
production out of it!! Only Remo can answer that. I will forward him
this mail.

So Remo himself can make a play on the TRUTH, however unpleasant that may
be, in 1976 but others cannot speak the same TRUTH?
