Hi Bhandare and Kamalaksh,

Thanks Bhandare for your respectful response to me. I also appreciate your
honest reply. I am including Kamalaksh in this post because some of my comments
respond to his recent thread "Bhandare's plight".

I gave you-both a blank sheet to outline your summary of the shortcomings /
criminal acts of either Manu or Francis Xavier. You had nothing ill to say
about the two individuals. Yet, you are encouraging others to condemn them -
one or both. Thank you for requesting me to do the research, and enlighten you
and others. I have done a limited study and published it our supurlem book
"Amchi Khobor ... ". As you know (and could expect) some our Christaum bhaus
were the ones to stab our efforts.

Based on your attitudes, which you-both display in your e-messages, one stupid
post justifies another; and one lie (actual or perceived) can rightly lead to
another. As Kamalaksh puts it, "RSS or any Hindu organizations never initiate
any violence by their own". So as a further extension, .... one act of
violence begets another .... sadly between the two major Goan religious groups.
This of course does not bother the instigators / posters, unless it is them or
their relatives that are the victims.

You and I may concur that the cycle may start with a "brain-dead" or a
"brain-washed" post or web site .... and leading to another. These types of
messages are not aimed to present the truth. They are aimed:

1. At best to display one's ability to gather high sounding English words and
phrases.
2. Valiant attempts to present a pseudo-progressive thinking.
3. Embarrass others or be argumentative.
4. At worst to sow hatred. And this includes posts from self-professed
atheists.

Many of these posts may have one or two grains of truth mingled with a ton of
fallacies, theories and speculation a.k.a. "lagao bhathi".

Your posts are a good eye-opener for all of us. Much good can come of them. I
am with you in my irritation of irresponsible posts, including yours. I hope
posters who are critical of your false and inflammatory statements are equally
critical of other posts which contain similar statements / views, even if they
are from individuals with regard to their own faith or ethnic group. Diaspora
Goans should be even more scrupulous, instead of being articulate
"flame-throwers". Good luck to you-both.

Kind Regards, GL

------------ C. A. Bhandare

Dear Dr Gilbert, I am sure that given your intellectual abilities as well as ur
background in scientific research it would be trivial exercise for you to find
out the answers to your questions yourself, given the vast information
available online. If possible kindly share ur findings with al of us here.

I am trying to educate myself and I hope you can help me. Please tell me what
did Manu do for which he should be condemned? Please tell me what did Francis
Xavier do that he should be condemned? Please be specific regarding the acts
of these two individuals. One can use the same or different yard sticks. But
just the historical facts would really help.

Dear Fred: Please take some time if u could, to carefully read my posts. Please
dont try to create the impression that I am trying to make it "my religion is
better than yours" issue here. My point has simply been that those who claim
to stand for religious tolerance and pluralism and liberalism should condemn
Manu and Francis xavier using the same yardstick.
