GL responds: What happened to Goanetters who posted on Goanet the authenticity of Congress MLAs? It is likely that Goa had a more stable and productive govt in the last year of the late CM Manohar Parrikar than since his demise in March, 2019. And there were goanetters wishing on Goanet everyday that the late PM resign so that Goa could have a more functioning government. The only ray of sunshine in the current turmoil is that the regions represented by INC will see some development rupees flow; and with that some kickback money for all involved in the development process. To me, behind the youthful face of Rajiv Gandhi, the INC is saturated with corrupt, self-centered politicians, with little vision for the country. While Goans in this tiny 25th?State of India wake up, they would be shocked to learn that the lone youthful vociferous Curtorim MLA Mr Reginald Lourenco would be left to script the requiem of the Indian National Congress in Goa with inputs from all its ex CMs who would be left to represent the Opposition in Goa until the end of the present term of the Goa Legislative Assembly. The reason being obvious as 10 MLAs of the 15 Indian National Congress who were in the Opposition in an unexpected revolt quit the INC to join the BJP led Government headed by Dr Pramod Sawant. This would see the BJP Government acquiring a absolute majority comprising of 27 MLAs, and would not need the support of the Goa Forward, Independents the lone MGP and NCP MLA's extending it support.
