I don't think a blanket ban on religious discussions
should be adopted on Goanet. I think they are very
illuminating. In retrospect, I came on Goanet, very
naive about certain things. I sincerely thought the
relationship between all religions in Goa, was a sort
of Kumbaya situation, where people lived in peace and
harmony, where bigotry was relegated to my parent's
generation.
Unfortunately, I know differently now. We have a lot
of work to do with following generations, so that they
don't grow up with cancerous cells of hatred and that
the moral zeitgeist of Goa moves into a phase where
hating one another based on religion or differences in
culture will be considered ignorant.
