Sesa Football Academy (SFA) begin pre-season with a friendly game
against Mohun Bagan.
Panjim: After lifting the GFA First Division trophy last season, Sesa
Football Academy (SFA) is all set to bow into the upcoming Goa Pro
League with a pre-season friendly game against Mohun Bagan on Sunday,
14th July 2019 at the Athletics Stadium in Bambolim.
Gaining promotion to the Goan top tier was just a stepping stone to
success for the team as they await bigger challenges in the near future.
The academy's board believes that playing against top teams in the
country like Bagan will only prepare them to face tough opponents from
the elite division.
"After gaining promotion to the Pro League, we are setting new goals for
the upcoming season. To play against Mohun Bagan is a great opportunity
for us and it will only help our players gain good experience and we are
planning for more such friendlies in the upcoming weeks," stated Mr.
Sukhvinder Singh, CEO, SFA.
Further, on the technical side, SFA head coach Charles Dias explained
the importance of pre-season friendlies, saying, "The Goa Pro League
will be a notch higher than the first division and it is important for
us to understand the best combinations that can work for us before the
league starts."
The two teams lock horns at 8:30 A.M. at the Athletics Stadium in
Bambolim.
