There appears to be a symbiotic curse associated with being a Goan. If you are born in Goa, there is an exponential drive to emigrate and the likelihood of dying an unsung hero. If you are born elsewhere and immigrate to Goa, the bets likely are you will eventually find yourself swimming upstream to elude the camaraderie of conspiring crabs hurdled below.
