The least that what was expected from this government which has over the years miserably failed to address the grave issue of garbage disposal, was to ensure that the solemn areas around our Temples, Mosques and Churches are kept serene and tidy at all times.
It is absolutely nauseating and repulsive that the Corporation of City of Panaji has set up its garbage collection and storage point right in front of the Ribandar Church. What an eyesore and despicable situation. Nothing was ever expected from the current corruption embroiled Mayor Uday Madkaikar but has our MLA Babush Monseratte also lost sight of all his promises? Let us hope the North Goa Collector and the Commsioner of CCP will intervene and remove this very ugly sight at the door steps of Ribandar’s Our Lady of Ajuda Church.
