Chandrayaan-2 an objective analysis: Most of this mission was a technological step and some of it also scientific research. As someone who was fortunate to have been trained by some very great scientists I can mention without any reluctance that I consider this mission a success. The orbiter is working very well and all the systems including the critical hardware performed flawlessly till the very end. In my opinion what could have gone wrong at the end-
1) Firstly we were landing on an un-understood region of the moon thus are surely not aware what forces are present there. Even the USA could fail initially in this region. 2) Cleverly planned sabotage. Many components like in any space program are procured from outside. 3) Human error such as overlooking certain parameters. 4) In the end a gigantic step and now we can (surely) place three people into space with indigenous technology.
