Today 13.10. 2019 when i decided to go to Panjim market and on the way i noticed 2 things. 1. Just at the side of our NIO compound wall where already some electrical transformers are erected without NIO Director permission i noticed some activities of bus drivers (poor people) are asked to park their buses as Government is yet to construct a pucca bus stand . SIDHARTH when he was in GSIDC did a garden at this circle with benches for tourists to sit but unfortunately what i see is cows and buffalos roaming inside the garden and tourist are found drinking and vomiting and spoiling the beauty of this area. No one from GSIDC nor CCP are bothered to look after or maintain this garden. Now these bus drivers decided to fix a picture of GOD in the huge tree which is just near the NIO compound wall and at the base a concrete construction with stone is being built. I asked why it is done here that too near the tree when already exist a temple nearby close to the Dona Paula Police station. Their reply is that tourists come and urinate and dirty the place and the area is stinking where they are parking their buses. i am not communal neither i am against any GOD but my problem is people do such construction whether Hindu or Catholic to keep the area clean and tidy. CCP Sanjit Rodrigues brought up recently resolution with the Corporators in the CCP hall meeting to remove boards, placard etc and if any such illegalites are noticed action will be taken to remove them. If its construction is completed than you may need to knock the doors of Mamladar or Collector and even Court. Panjim is going to dogs slowly as these resolutions are only on paper and nothing else .I have seen such resolution quite number of times and it is back to square one. These migrants are everywhere and i saw them in our Sagar Society. Tourism is encouraging them to come to Goa to dirty our place? CM Pramod Sawant must come to help us Panjimites.
