Doctors qualify to be declared saints as they also cure and heal? The rationalist and scientist make a curious observations that they also qualify for this status as they too heal and thus save lives . I was amused by this logic on TV debate on Miraculous cures as condition for saint hood . There is difference when it comes to profession and selfless social service with compassionate devotion . The arguments about canonisation of saints subject to miracle , Medical profession doubts the veracity of miracles attributed to saints because they find no scientific proof I recall 3 personal incidents where the medical profession erred in judgement with their profound knowledge A person had extremely low sperm count , The popular Gynaecologist opined that he would never become a father and it shocked the patient Even then he prescribed injections He turned to lesser known doctor and became father of two kids without taking the sperm enhancing Treatment Another highly diabetic man was shocked by advice of doctor that he could never become a parent. He had 3 children An elderly lady was sick With paralytic stroke and consulting doctor asked family to prepare for funeral arrangements . She recovered , lived for 3 years and used to walk often 5 kms to visit her child
Yet another girl survives in a vegetative state over years when the doctor diagnosed her serious life threatening condition giving her just hours for breathing her last She defies all odds cared with love and affection over 3 years now The expert opinion of doctors with their limited knowledge can be otherwise at times To dismiss the miracles attributed to interventions of saints is in poor test , leave aside the emphasis and validating with scientific proof These examples are not in the realm of miracles but indicates the error of judgement by doctors with specialised knowledge and that there is always hope and scope for an alternative One doctor said I Only prescribe ,God works on them and heals, so pray and hope for the best Why do doctors fail with best of knowledge , medicines ,equipment at their disposal .
