I read that India's new incoming Chief Justice is Sharad Bobde. The name rang a bell and I looked into my archives. Sure enough, Justice Bobde was one of the justices addressing my 2007/2008 PIL on Panjim when he was posted to the High Court at Lyceum.
I remember him as a good guy, expressing deep concern for Panjim and the matters that I had brought to the Court's attention. See the link below. Do you know who showed no concern for Panjim? The dear departed leader for whom a costly memorial will now be built on your dime. Not when he was out of power, not when he later assumed power in 2012 (at that time his concern was how he could suck up to the casino lobby, the real estate lobby, the mining lobby, and how his cronies could benefit from juicy contracts). I now hear that the bamons have suddenly woken up to how bad things are in Goa. The same bamons who were cheerleaders of the dear departed leader. The take-down of Goa by the dear departed 'great' leader is the LEGACY that these same bamons cheered not long ago. Well, to them I say - You made your bed, now lie in it.
