Folks,Boigny built the $500 million Cathedral useing his own funds. There comes a time when leaders confuse state funds as their own :-) The point here is that he wasted the money in his own country. Others are encouraged to send the money to Europe and the US. For example, if you have been following, African Catholic presidents have been contributing millions of dollars for the restoration of the Norte Dame Cathedral in Paris. I would not be surprised if some of them get made into saints - in a few years time. Mervyn
