This premiere mailing list - 25 years old (silver jubilee) (1994 to 2019 )  now
needs to graduate into a mature resilient mailing list.
Those with roots in Goa, living within the State/country and in the diaspora
could benefit.  So also the enormous number of tourists visiting this State
from India and abroad
Can we not turn this into an appropriate forum to share news views and
suggestions - to preserve and protect our beautiful verdant 25th tiny State (30
May 1986 )  in India which is admired world over but are concerned of its slide
down.
Contributions from Goans worldwide on how to cope up with issues viz town and
country planning, health care, organic farming, transportation, tourism, river
navigation, Goan heritage  & Culture, etc, etc. and achievements of Goans
living and dead within and in the diaspora could merit mention.
Humor strips, online music 'song for the day " etc would be a treat to one's
mind while browsing  as  an 'in situ' recreation and could be encouraged.
Feasts, parties, picnics,  dances, musical shows, etc have news value --
promotional ...mainly confined to the area of such events and could be
restricted or preferably avoided, the photo feature could be considered
sparingly.

Politics is restricted to the sovereignty of one's country and one ought to
castigate debate it in local fora, definitely not required on a prominent
mailing list.  Agreed, not all who speak English can write and that too on the
worldwide web,  there are others who read or get others to read but are afraid
to pen or cannot pen their views. But yet this list could be of help.
In conclusion why, not a survey on what the netizens desire of GOANET post
silver jubilee.
