Sent from my iPhone Lockup of lockdown It is strange that sometimes blessings are in disguise Lockdown has led to greater interaction with family and children in particular .The thought of God and communication with Divine is receiving serious attention .The faith and trust in God is stronger than before .Surely more time on hand for prayers .TV has receded in the background as a sacrifice and repentance. Spiritual music has become fla vour of the day. The social, electronic and print media have curtailed over indulgence on political pampering and are very exclusively concentrating on Covid 19. The social media is carpet bombing with religious posters, spiritual hymns and songs and religious messages .The religious channels are in overdrive as viewers are instinctively drawn towards them for spiritual solace. God has suddenly taken centre stage of activities more because of closure of temples ,mosques and churches and hold on rituals People have time to phone others and renew contacts . Close family reunions, bonds are being strengthened .Parents at home can meet the children tastes and have more time at their disposal. Hobbies are getting attention. The mess around the house, repairs, mending ,cleaning gets preference Families now garher around prayer room than at TV altar The yearning for street food is at a discount. Animals have free space for unhindered movements. The sounds pf birds , crickets at mid day ate distinctly audible. The skies are clear, pollution is controlled without resorting to odd even measures No accidents due to drunken driving as bars are shut Road accidentsare drastically reduced as traffic movement is under lockdown .There is saving in not eating out, entertainment, fuel etc because of stay at home The cost of essentials have hit the roof and so is the availability The joy of freedom of movement is killing the lust of wanderers The doctors , nurses, medical workers are at the centre of focus and praise , admiration of the society Students are happy as colleges , schools closed, exams cancelled or postponed and vacations enlarged Shortages of medicines, all types of goods, unemployment as poor go hungry without meals.
