Besides wearing of protective gear for 8 hours is very demanding and inconvenient Add to it long hours of work without rest and even food at times .They have to bear the brunt of positive patients and outside hospitals muderous attacks, harassment in colonies from landlords and stigmatised by residents. This ingratitude is unbearable Those attacking doctors, police must be dealt with iron hand, even though the incidents may be few and isolated The gravity of the situation is serious and alarming to be treated lightly .They need to be provided police protection both on and off duty At home too they have to isolate and maintain social distance for the safety of their loved ones which imposes another self restraint .
