A wedding reception comes to an end. One of the family members makes the
following announcement:All family members please come here; family photo
take outing/removing. "Upkar korun sogott ghorchim hanga ieat; kuttumbacho
fottu kaddtat". (All family members please come here; we are clicking a
family photo).

Dear Domnic,

While 'take out' or 'remove' is obviously wrong for photos, 'take' is the
correct term and not 'click'. We tend to avoid using 'take/ took/ taking'
thinking that it is literal Konkani translation of 'kaddlo'. It is not. 'He
is taking photos' is perfectly correct English.

Cheers!

Cecil
