Yesterday a friend sent me a rant against overseas Goans by some non alphabetic Goan. Basically he is asking OG's not to comment on Goan issues and to sussh. For decades OG's are remitting thousands of crores of indian rupees to the coffers of the Goan economy. Unfortunately the information on remittance does not filter out to the Heralds, Gomantaks and Navhind times. The amounts are deposited into banks and the money is later sent elsewhere. Current figures show that a staggering 14000 crores were deposited in 2018/19. If not for the sacrifice of the OG's what would be the state of Goa, specially when you have whingers living in Tinamol BC
