A mournful but pleasant song by Idir an Algerian singer-composer who sang about the Kabyle people a section of the Berbers who live in the north of the country in the Atlas mountain range.
Studying to be a geologist, he became a singer when his song ‘Viva Inouva’ became a hit in 1970s France. The song calls out to a grandfather to shake his bangles and frighten away a monster in the woods who frightens the small boy at night.
